“My plein air painting ‘Christeen, Last Day in the Shed’ is now in the permanent collection of the Mystic Seaport Museum of America and the Sea,” New York artist Kirk Larsen reports. “When they awarded the outdoor award to another artist, I thought I missed my only category for awards. The show is incredibly strong this year and it is humbling to be selected, and also an acknowledgment for outdoor painting.” Larsen also has a painting on display in the OPA Eastern exhibition at the Bennington Center for the Arts in Bennington, Vermont.
