Steven Berg-Hansen picked two paintings to receive Best of Show awards in the recent 2012 San Luis Obispo Plein Air Festival in California, and PleinAir staff member Richard Lindenberg was pleasantly surprised when he received the People's Choice award. Find out who received the top honors.

The Best of Show awards went to Ken Christensen, for "Leave a Light On," and James Wisnowski, for "Crashing Surf, Montaña de Oro." The People's Choice Award went to Richard Lindenberg, for "Shaded Bluffs," and the Artist's Choice Award went to John Guernsey, for "San Luis Obispo Victorians."

Also among the artists who participated this year were Michele Byrne, Susan Gutting, Steven R. Hill, Betsy Lombard, Carolyn Lord, Mark Monsaratt, Ed Terpening, Toni Williams, and Karen Winters.
