The Missouri Valley Impressionists Society supports and enhances Impressionism throughout the Missouri River Valley Region; Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, and Missouri. I have a plein air group going to paint in Provence, France from May 21- 28, 2012. The group is limited to 7 artists plus myself. The trip includes lodging in a beautifully restored farmhouse in the heart of Provence, all meals & transportation in an air conditioned van to painting sites around the area. I love to paint en plein air and I just registered on this Outdoor Painter website. I look forward to sharing and gleaning from this group. I live on the "Left" coast. :) Seems like most of the members here are from the east. I'll check out the global paint out on Sept 9. I belong to an artists group locally that paints outdoors each summer during our annual Paint the Town event. We then have a juried group show in October. I've participated for many years. Love it!!

The Henderson Cultural Center in CT is welcoming plein air painters in the month of June! It's the home of, museum and art gallery founded by Skitch Henderson and his wife, Ruth. It's a lovely place to paint out. I'll be doing a watercolor demo on June 12. at 2. If you're passing through the area stop by. Bring a lunch and a chair and enjoy the grounds, take a tour of the museum, and watch the artists paint! We'll be there all day!
