About the Artist:
Carol Strock Wasson’s recognition as an award winning artist keeps her in-demand as a painter and instructor. Her work has been published in the Pastel Journal, American Art Collector and the Plein Air Magazine. Carol is a member of several national and regional organizations including American Impressionist Society, American Women Artists, Plein Air Artists of Colorado, Indiana Plein Air Painters Association, Ohio Plein Air Society and a master signature member of Chicago Pastel Painters. She is passionate about teaching others that pastels are a vibrant, versatile, exciting painting medium that will stand the test of time.
Some recent accomplishments are: Featured Artist at the Door County Plein Air Festival; accepted into both the American Women Artists 2016 Annual Member Show & National Juried Exhibition at the Bennington Center for the Arts September 23-November 14, 2016 and the Plein Air Artists of Colorado 20th Annual Show Mary Williams Fine Arts September 1-30, 2016.
