"Starting in January, our more experienced members will be offering free demonstrations and critiques each week in the field," says spokesperson Terry Mason. "In February we are having our first city-wide Paint Out for three days, and we are expecting 50-100 painters to sign up. Morgan Samuel Price will be the juror.

"February 28, 2013, we will open the second annual Light Chasers' show. On March 1, we have another gala opening of our workshop leaders' show at the Palm Avenue Gallery in town. The exhibition, "From Plein Air to the Studio," will feature a plein air and the resulting studio painting from each workshop artist. This show will run two weeks and is also a benefit for Art Center Sarasota, which is co-sponsoring all the Light Chaser events this year."
