Some of the nation’s top plein air artists were selected to venture outdoors to paint the unspoiled landscapes, seascapes, and cityscapes of San Luis Obispo County, California, one of the most picturesque areas on the California Central Coast. The event took place from Sunday, September 30 through Friday, October 5, 2012, when the exhibition and sale opened from 6-9 p.m. Plein air artists painted in various locations near the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art and participated in a quick draw on Saturday, October 6. A children’s paint-out was also held on Saturday from 10 a.m.-noon.
