The paint-out that highlights the Plein Air Rockies festival is scheduled for August 13-25 this year in Estes Park, a beautiful spot in Colorado. More than $10,000 in prizes is on the line.

The entry deadline is March 18 for this event, which includes several activities including a Paint the Town portion, a Quick Draw, and a Nocturne Paint-Out. Jurors Carol Jenkins and Marc Hanson will hand out awards in 14 categories. The event benefits the Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park, and 50 percent of sales will go to that nonprofit entity.
