PleinAir magazine editor Steve Doherty will serve as judge at the Finger Lakes Plein Air Competition and Festival, scheduled for June 7-12 in Canandaigua, New York. The deadline is approaching rapidly.

More than $6,000 in prizes — including a $3,000 Best in Show award — will be given at the event. The organizers are seeking host families to provide lodging to out-of-town artists. There will be a Quick Draw. The event benefits the Ontario County Arts Council.
