The deadline is nearly upon us for entering Los Gatos Plein Air, a competition in California with $3,100 in prizes. Paul Kratter will serve as the juror this year. The 7th annual event, sponsored by the Los Gatos Morning Rotary Club, benefits local arts and sciences education for kids. Paint scenic views of the Santa Cruz Mountains, vineyards, and the Pacific Ocean, June 16-20. The deadline for entries is Feb. 1; visit www.lgpleinair.org for information.

In the vicinity of Palm Beach, Florida, the Lighthouse ArtCenter is hosting the 2nd Annual Plein Air Festival March 12-15. This juried invitational show offers $10,000 in prizes.
