The Knoxville Museum of Art invites artists to participate in the 8th Annual Artists on Location Plein Air Event, May 10-11, 2013 in Knoxville, Tennessee, and surrounding areas. This year’s featured artist is Brett Weaver of Chattanooga.
Brett Weaver will be giving a painting demo the night of Friday, May 10, and the Plein Air Exhibition & Sale will be held at the Knoxville Museum of Art on Saturday, May 11, from 7-10 p.m. The Guild of the Knoxville Museum of Art is hosting the 8th annual fundraising event. Local and regional artists are invited to showcase their talents by producing works of art at the locations of their choosing in and around the Knoxville area and then exhibiting those works at the KMA-Artist on Location Exhibition.
Painting days will be May 8-10, with completed works due to the museum by noon Saturday. With the success of last year’s access to private gardens by some of the museums’ patrons, the museum will again make this information available to the artists before the event.
