In last week's PleinAir Today report on the awards presented in the "Local Color" exhibition in Paso Robles, California, we failed to mention all the talented artists who received Honorable Mention awards. The complete list should have included Dean Crawford, Dennis Curry, Earthsea Pottery, Will Bateman, Jeanne Miller, and Chris Chapman.

 

Also, we incorrectly identified the location of the cottage once owned by Rockwell Kent that Evelyn Dunphy used while painting on location in watercolors. The cottage is in Brigus, Newfoundland, not Nova Scotia.

A party atmosphere prevailed during the three-day Paso Robles Festival of the Arts (May 25-27, 2012) in California. The event included a quick draw competition; a Local Colors juried show, a special Plein Air Masters exhibition, live bands, dancers, and acrobats. Find out who won awards in the art competitions.
