Along with the model trains currently coursing their way around the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory of the New York Botanical Gardens (NYBG) in the Bronx, New York, there is an amazing display of historic homes recreated with twigs, bark, shells, nuts, leaves, grasses and other natural materials. One of the most outstanding is a recreation of Olana, the home of the great 19th century plein air painter Frederic E. Church (1826-1900).
