This summer, Frederic E. Church's magnificent home, Olana, will present an exhibition titled Maine Sublime that will include nearly 30 oil and graphite sketches by the master of outdoor painting.

Artists were recently invited by the Barrett Art Center and Walkway Over the Hudson State Park in Poughkeepsie, New York, to paint on the pedestrian path spanning the Hudson River, as well as along the waterfront. It was an opportunity to paint some of the most historically significant scenes in America.
