Birds in Art, a juried competition held each fall at the
Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin, is one of the most important international art events for artists who paint wildlife subjects. Each year one person is designated as a Master Wildlife Artist, and in 2011 New York artist James Coe is the 32nd person to join the fraternity of artists that includes Robert Bateman, Maynard Reece, Carl Brenders, Anne Senechal Faust, and Nancy Howe.
