The Band of Brushes is a group of artists who paint outdoors together along the beautiful shores of New Hampshire. Later this month, the group will present a great selection of their works here.

The Band of Brushes, as they are called, is a group of plein air painters who will soon present a selection of their works at the Newburyport Art Association in New Hampshire. In an exhibition opening August 14 and on view through August 27, represented artists include Dorothy Aham, Grace Daly, Karen Fitzgerald, Sarajean Graham, Christine Molitor Johnson, Betsy Lewis, Pam Perras, Cynthia Stern, Robin Thornhill, MaryAnn Varoski, and Sandra Marucci Weisenhoff.

Throughout the spring, summer, and fall, the group of painters comes together to capture the beautiful North Shore and seacoast locations north of Boston. Brought together through their love of nature and art, the group represents a range of style and media, including oil, watercolor, pastel, and acrylic.
