Well-known painter Mark Fehlman has been heating up Debra Huse Gallery in Newport Beach, California, this July with demos and a solo exhibition that evokes “the island life.” I can hear the steel drums from here!

Mark Fehlman, “Crystal Cove Delight,” oil, 12 x 12 inches

Highlighting Fehlman’s characteristic vibrant palette with engaging bold forms, this dynamic collection of new work showcases the life, colorful scenery, beautiful beaches, and more around Balboa Island and beyond. Via the gallery, “Prior to pursuing his passion for painting, Mark enjoyed a thirty-five-year career as a successful architect. Fehlman currently paints full-time in his San Diego studio and on location throughout the country. Mark was honored with the ‘Grand Award’ at the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association’s 2014 Best of Plein Air and his work was recently featured in the California Art Club’s Gold Medal Exhibition.”
