Painting in Plain Air is Painting on Location, you have to be quick to paint the bird before it flies away. I liked your small location piece. But what's with the camera to paint a larger piece in your studio? Do you call that a painting done in plain air also or do you note on the back that you used a camera? Do you think this is an important question, to separate location work from studio work?

Cropsey would be shocked at how the American landscape has diminished since his century. The countryside has pockets left of wide open spaces, but if there's a lake,a stream, a pond in the woods, you can bet people have built something on it. Wonderfully informative video, magnificent handling of paint, magnificent landscapes,--but I noticed no winter scenes. We all know why that is.
