West Bend Plein Air Event

The Gallery of Wisconsin Art and the League of Milwaukee Artists are hosting the first West Bend Plein Air and “Paint the Market” competition in beautiful West Bend, Wisconsin. On Saturday morning, “Paint the Market” gives painters the opportunity to capture the color (and crowds) of the West Bend Farmers Market. The event will be finished off with a Saturday evening award reception.
Main event prizes include $1,000 Best of Show and five other awards. Artists can submit one additional painting for the “Paint the Market” event, which will award $750 Best of the Market and five other awards.
Completed paintings will be displayed in the lower level of the Gallery. Artists will have an option to leave any unsold paintings on display until Saturday September 1, 2018.
