This year’s Fall Color Week (a Publisher’s Invitational painting retreat hosted by our charismatic Eric Rhoads, CEO, Publisher, and Artist) welcomed 80 people to the Schoodic Institute in stunning Acadia National Park during peak autumn color. In addition to painting in the same locations as the historic Hudson River artists, there were cash prizes throughout the week – over $10,000 worth!

Fortunately, it only rained for two days, during which some attendees ventured outside, while most stayed indoors at the lodge, painting models and enjoying five-minute talks from speakers who are fellow artists. In addition, demonstrations were given by Kim Hoerster (watercolor), Wendy Alm (gouache), Rick Wilson (oil), and Eric Rhoads himself (gouache).

Fall Color Week ended with the famous lobster dinner and hopes to see each other again at the next Streamline event. (Check PublishersInvitational.com for the schedule!)

“I absolutely love the Fall Color Week,” said Wendy Neckers (from Corey, Pennsylvania. “We just had a wonderful time. Hot meals prepared. I didn’t have to do anything. Great rooms and a lot of fun, wonderful people, painting every day.” With a smile, she added, “Tough life!”

If you’re looking to connect, create, and be part of an incredible art family, mark your calendar for next year’s retreat. Or seek out the upcoming Publisher’s Invitational, the Winter Escape painting retreat. Who knows? You might just find your tribe. 🎨❤️
