The Plein Air Southwest Salon recently announced its awards, chosen by Kenn Erroll Backhaus. Who won in the Lone Star State?
John Porter Lasater IV won Best in Show for “Marina at Dusk,” and Carole Devereaux won Artists’ Choice in the Quick Paint for “Donkey Heaven.” Lon Brauer’s “Tin Soldier” won People’s Choice.
Nancy Boren, Diane Frossard, Ned Mueller, John Pototschnik, and Jason Sacran won Awards of Excellence. Jane Chapin, Fran Ellisor, Rusty Jones, Spencer Meagher, Patrick Saunders, and Robert J. Simone won Awards of Merit.
Tina Bohlman, Lon Brauer, Kent Brewer, Ted Clemens, Kaye Franklin, Ann Hardy, Ann Larsen, Lawrence Rudolech, Richard Sneary, and R. Gregory Summers earned Honorable Mention.
