We love to hear from the Plein Air Today community! The following is part of a series that spotlights an artist who loves painting outdoors. Today’s feature is on Margo Levvy.
“I travel often and paint around the world, but one of my favorite experiences so far was in Hawaii,” says Plein Air Today reader Margo Levvy. “It is truly an outstanding place for plein air painting. That day, I hadn’t planned to paint, but I couldn’t resist the beauty of the spot I discovered. It was hot, but I found a huge, beautiful tree that gave me shade and a perfect view. The setting was so peaceful, filled with the gentle melody of Hawaiian birdsong.
“For me, nothing compares to painting outdoors, surrounded by nature, birds singing, fresh air, and the warmth of humidity on the skin. It’s the purest joy of being a painter.”
