Now through January 30, New Mexico artist Julane Jensen’s work is on display at Purple Sage Gallery, located in Albuquerque’s Old Town.

“The show has no specific theme but includes a sampling of plein air painting from this past year,” says Jenson. “Thankfully, my home at Flora Vista, New Mexico, is only a few hours drive from Taos, Canyon de Chelly, Monument Valley, the Red Rocks of Moab and the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, so paintings from all theses wondrous places plus the area around my home are included. There is even one painting from Cat Island, Bahamas, where members from the Plein Air Painters of the Four Corners traveled to paint last winter. I would rather face the challenges of painting outdoors than paint in the studio, and I hope people viewing the show will see a reflection of the beauty of God’s creation and my enjoyment of the outdoors.”
