Kami Mendlik: “Red-Winged Black Birds Sing” was inspired by the marsh outside her studio window, where the red-winged black birds sing their songs.
“The Stream Runs Through It” was painted standing on the walking bridge her dad built crossing the stream that runs through her family’s farmland – the place where Kami grew up and learned a deep appreciation for the natural world that surrounds her.
“Autumn on The St Croix” painted at late light just after a slow canoe paddle on the river taking in the fall colors.
