The Art Renewal Center (ARC) has one of the most active websites and support programs for artists and organizations dedicated to great and enduring art, to humanist values in the visual arts, and to future generations. In that effort, ARC gives scholarships to students attending the academies and atelier schools that have met ARC’s rigid standards. This year’s judges, Frederick Ross, the founder and chairman of ARC, and Dr. Vern Swanson, former director of the Springfield Museum of Art in Utah, selected five First Place winners who will each receive $3,500, four Second Place winners who will be awarded $1,800, and seven Third Place award winners who will each receive $1,000.
