@gejart > Attempt no. 2 at plein air painting. This time looking into the sun in the afternoon. Bees were trying to get me and pretty sure I nearly got sun stroke towards the end but enjoyed it again. 8x10” oil on primed @ampersand_art hardbord.

As I write this, things are beginning to open up and in some ways lives are returning to an updated “normal.” Here’s a look at what some of your peers created during the recent #stayathome period, during which we asked you to share paintings and drawings inspired by a variety of creative art prompts that our team created.

In this collection, we’re sharing some of our favorite results from the “Paint Your Backyard” art prompts challenge. Enjoy!

More sitting on the couch and looking out the window… Lol… Apart from that, I have been organizing my studio and found a stack of old favorite paintings… It was a pleasant surprise to see some of them again… 🙂

@lorrainedawsonart > It’s a New Day, 6×9, gouache
I received news this week that due to the COVID19 pandemic the Laguna Art A Fair scheduled for this summer has been cancelled. Disappointed but relieved ( juried members have been waiting for the decision), I wanted to share this painting done at Casa Romantica in San Clemente last year. It’s a New a Day, take a deep breath of that fresh ocean air, trust God to open new windows and keep pressing on. “Nothing worthwhile ever comes easy. “(Quote from Open Doors by Rick Warren)
