Following up on the initial report we gave two weeks ago, we can now list the award winners in the 9th Annual Escalante Canyons Art Festival, which took place September 28-29, 2012 in Utah.

More than 80 artists from nearby and as far away as Canada and Connecticut participated in the 9th Annual Escalante Canyons Art Festival-Everett Ruess Days held in Escalante, Utah, on September 28-29. Prizes totaling more than $8,000 were awarded in two categories, Oil/Acrylic and Mixed Media. This year’s Best of Show winners included Susette Gertsch and Jeff Dunn. Awards of Merit were presented to Brad Holt and Jacob Tarazoff, and Honorable Mention prizes went to Sanette Cottam, Carol Johansen, Valerie Orlemann, Sarah Straw, and Clay Wagstaff.

The winner of the Paint-Out Competition was Jodi McGregor Peterson, of Logan, Utah. The People’s Choice award went to Rick Howell, and Brad Holt of Cedar City was honored with the Artists’ Choice award. For more information, visit http://everettruessdays.org/.
