Fallbrook Art Association’s (FAA) Annual Competition at Grand Tradition Showcases Plein Air Landscape Paintings

The California event attracted 37 artists this year, from all over San Diego County and as far away as Idyllwild. Artists painted all day and all around the 30-acre grounds of Grand Tradition Estate and Gardens, with seven waterfalls and endless gardens. Comments were heard that it was very hard to make a decision where to paint with so many beautiful choices.

Local artist, teacher, and juror Rich Stergulz tells us, “I asked for more markers to add Honorable Award winners because there is such a wealth of talent here that should be recognized.”

Cash awards were presented for first, second, and third places, and there were four Honorable Mentions for the plein air landscape paintings.
