In Easton, Maryland, they’re welcoming 58 artists who are spending the week painting all over Talbot County for Plein Air Easton.
If you’re in the area, be sure to view the exhibits of their work at Plein Air Easton Headquarters (new inventory added daily) and the Academy Art Museum. July 10-17, folks are strolling through downtown Easton, enjoying live music, special sales and gallery receptions. After sunset, artists will set up their easels for a nocturne paint-out.
Plein Air Easton is the work of the Avalon Foundation. This year’s juror is artist Mark Boedges of Shelburne, Vermont and the judge is Mary Morton, curator and head of French paintings at the National Gallery of Art.
The Collectors’ Preview Party is Friday, July 17. This exclusive event offers the first opportunity to see the stunning collection of artwork competing for thousands of dollars in prizes.
