How do you find inspiration?
Laurel Daniel: Inspiration is everywhere. Finding it is a matter putting on my “art eyes” and being intentional about recognizing and responding to what moves me. My recent relocation to the Georgia Coast inspired a new collection of small figurative works based on my observations of everyday people enjoying “Island Time”. Each piece is set in our coastal landscape, and images include favorite pastimes…fishing, surfing, walking the beach, playing in the sand, and romping with dogs. Creating this work has been a true celebration of light and life and new adventures.
