Awards in Plein Air Brandywine Valley were announced by judge M. Stephen Doherty during the October 21 opening reception held at the Visitor Center at Winterthur Museum, Gardens, and Library in Wilmington, Delaware.
 
The event benefitted the Children’s Beach House, a non-profit organization that helps children with special needs. Randall Graham won the First Place award and $2,000 as well as a merit award in the Quick Draw competition, and Elise Phillips won the Second Place award and $1,000 as well as First Place in the nocturne painting competition.

Other award winners included David Diaz (Third Place), Tom Newby (Honorable Mention), Alison Leigh Menke (First Place, Quick Draw), and Bruno Baran (Merit, Nocturne). Winners of other merit awards were Jim Rehak, Alison Leigh Menke, Yvonne Mucci, Ellen Gavin, Sarah Snyder-Dinsel, Don Shoffner, Jaclyn Beam, Jinsheng Song, Ellen Gann, Elaine Lisle, Jane Ramsey, Dorothy Hoeschen, and Bonnie White.
