The Indiana Plein Air Painters Association held its member show recently and pulled winners from the 111 pieces submitted. Who won?

Best of Show was won by Charlene Marsh for her piece “Snow in the Forest, Melting, March 7, 2015.” Ron Monsma, the juror for the show, says the piece demonstrates “a confident handling of thick impasto with great tonality, color, and light. The artist holds the space together while at the same time revealing the abstract nature of her vision.”

First Place went to Ron Burgess for “Adirondack Allure,” and Second Place was earned by Chris Newlund for “Colors of Winter.” Third went to Troy Kilgore for “Winter Stream — Brown County State Park.”
