This photo by Jim Leland proves it: Plein air painting is attracting an increasingly diverse audience.

The picture was taken at a workshop taught by Terry Miura, in Locke, California. Was Miura pouring his turpentine into old tuna cans for his setup? Or was it simply that he was set up kitty-corner to his intended subject?
