A plein air competition with prizes will be held June 7 through 9 at the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and in the village of Peninsula, Ohio.
The event, dubbed the 5th Annual Plein Air Competition — Along the Crooked River: 100 Years Later, allows artists to enter two pieces in the competition, and the rules state that “artwork must be created on site in the true impromptu plein air style.”
For more information or to register, go to the competition’s Web page.
Wow…great article. Thanks for saring a bit of wonderful news in this gloomy economy. Gives us all hope.
Glad to see Jim Wilcox creating his usual beautiful version of Jackson Hole’s surrounding area. Jim is a class one guy!

Excellent news! Good to see Carol Swinney doing well. She’s a wonderful painter and she’s got a great attitude.
Wow – great news on sales. Unfortunately we weren’t able to make it this past year. Really enjoyed our painting trip 2010 to Yellowstone. Gorgeous Fall colours. Important to “paint on location” around the area.
