Chicago artist Jeffrey Baumgartner had the unusual and exciting experience of having the first show at a brand new gallery.
Baumgartner, a painter who also is an accomplished Shakespearean actor, is the subject of a solo show at White Key Gallery in Valparaiso, Indiana, on view through December. His report from the recent opening of the exhibition expressed his excitement. “It’s a beautiful gallery,” says Baumgartner. “They put in a fireplace, nestled next to a grand piano.”

Baumgartner has 35 pieces on display in the show.
