Wandering throughout Oregon’s countryside and cities, you’ll almost never find Brenda without her camera or sketchbook to capture inspiration wherever she goes. When outdoors, “I’m using all my senses,” she says, “and my heart as well.”
She paints a majority of her rural scenes en plein air, and loves the challenge of having just a few hours to respond to nature and finish a painting. A cityscape, on the other hand, with all its angles and moving people and vehicles, most likely comes to life in the artist’s studio. However, there have been times, when she can be found painting from life on a traffic island.
Brenda’s work is represented by The Mission Gallery, UT., Brian Marki Gallery, CA., and South Street Gallery, MD. She will be a Field Artist at the 2018 PleinAir Convention & Expo.
