Craig Thomas is a military brat that has spent most his life in Missouri. He and his wife Elizabeth (Missouri art educator of the year 2011) raised their family in southeast Missouri. Craig’s art focuses in fine art, murals, street paintings, and plein air. Thomas states, “I’ve gone to Augusta Plein Air Art Festival the past 5 years and been fortunate to place each season.” He continues, “Augusta Plein Air Festival is a great place to paint. The landscape, environment, local people and the outstanding artists have been a rich experience and has given me cherished memories.”

Join us April 24 through May 4, 2014, for the 12th Annual Augusta Plein Air Art Festival. More than 100 artists from more than 5 states will be painting in Historic Missouri Wine Country. Artists will be capturing the nuance of light and shadow from the Missouri River bluffs and river bottoms, the fertile farm land featuring field crops and vineyards, the hiking trails and Katy Bike Trail, along with events at local wineries and businesses featuring sunrise, sunset, nocturne, car show, and the Uncorked 100K.
