David R. Smith: These paintings were produced during the 2022 Plein Air Grand Marais competition. “Cascade Entrance” won the Best Watermedia award.
David finds inspiration while exploring Minnesota and by sharing his passion through exhibits and instruction. On September 28th – October 1st, David will be teaching a plein air workshop and displaying his work in conjunction with the “Flora & Fauna – The Plein Air Experience 2023”: a collaboration between the Minnesota Art Museum and River Arts Alliance.
