Artists have until July 11 to submit entries for the 16th annual National Juried Competition hosted by the American Women Artists, a group that is “dedicated to the inspiration, celebration, and encouragement of women in the arts,” according to its website.
“Samovar,” by Ann Hardy, oil, 18 x 24 in. This piece won Best 2-Dimensional in the 2012 Juried Competition.
More than $15,000 worth of prizes will be awarded, with a Best of Show prize package worth $6,000. Submissions must be made online, and participants must be members of the organization to enter. (You can become a member immediately before submitting an entry.)
All traditional fine art media are accepted. An exhibition of accepted work will be on view at RS Hanna Gallery in Fredericksburg, Texas, from November 1-24. View the prospectus here.
