Kelly Kane’s Pick of the Week: Point in Time
“A mistake many first-time Grand Canyon painters make is to try and fit too much on a panel. Unless you’re going big and plan to paint over a series of days, it’s best to seek out scenes that suggest the scale of the place without having to actually paint it all; pushing the values between the various formations can really help. You can also focus on a specific feature, such as a temple, mesa, or foreground cliff.”
