Our hearts are going out to everyone affected by the LA fires, and as an artist community, we all want to help. Following is a list of trusted resources; please take a moment to check them out and see which one (or more) you’re moved to support.

1. League of California Community Foundations: We’re told they’re providing relief to families and communities who need it most, and they have a wide range of options for donations to specific areas affected by the LA Fires: https://lccf.org/disaster-relief-funds

2. Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation: Aid firefighters and emergency teams with funds for the tools they need: https://supportlafd.org/donate/ways-to-give.html

3. American Red Cross: Offering shelters, food, and medical support to those displaced: www.redcross.org/donate/donation.html

4. World Central Kitchen: They have set up meal distribution sites across Southern California to support first responders and families affected by the fires, providing nourishing meals to people in need: https://wck.org

5. Arts for LA: They secure millions in relief and recovery funding for regional practitioners and arts and culture organizations: www.artsforla.org

6. Best Friends Animal Society: Providing emergency shelter and airlifting animals out of fire zones. They’ve partnered with local shelters and are helping reunite pets with their families: https://bestfriends.org

7. State of California Resources: Has many ways to give (with links to FEMA and Disaster Recovery Centers) and get help if you are affected by the LA Fires, including financial assistance and federal programs, and what to do if you’ve lost your home: www.ca.gov/lafires
