“Paint the Town,” an event on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, offers three ways for artists to take home cash.
Chestertown RiverArts is the sponsor of “Paint the Town,” a plein air event in its sixth year in Chestertown, Maryland. This year’s edition will be held April 23-26, and as this is a first-come, first-served event with a limit of 50 entrants, now may be the time to register.
The event includes a Quick Draw event, a Wet Paint exhibition and sale with awards, and a miniature-painting silent auction (size limit of 5″-x-7″). Hai-Ou Hou will serve as juror. The organization will help out-of-town artists find host families. Organizers speak highly of the historic streetscapes and colorful farmers market in the town.
