“At the personal invitation of the Major General Chris Ghika, I will be painting the Coronation as London Central Garrison’s official military artist,” said Rob Pointon on Instagram.
“This will kickstart a 12-month residency with the Household Division, an appointment which follows my time as resident artist to the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, during which time I covered the final Queen’s Birthday Parade as well as The Queen’s funeral procession including sketching the lying-in-state inside Westminster Hall.”
