Untitled, by John W. Connors, 2014, watercolor, 11 x 7 1/2 in.

John W. Connors isn’t naming places, but somewhere, he painted what looks like a building-eating shark.

Explains the artist, “I don’t name or put locations on my work. My mission in plein air is to interpret the American vernacular — that is, cars, figures going about daily life, etc.–and contrast it with the romance of the light.”

Connors will be featured in an upcoming edition of PleinAir magazine. Go here to subscribe.
