Near the beginning of June, plein air artists in New Hampshire had a chance to paint models in colonial garb and capture buildings and settings that haven’t changed greatly since the time of America’s birth.

On June 6, the American Independence Museum in Exeter, New Hampshire, hosted Art en Plein Air, and approximately 20 area painters helped celebrate Revolution-era buildings, customs, and styles with their creations.
