Friends since their time in the Kansas City Art Institute, Colorado artists, Michael Gault and Ken Shanika founded the Pikes Peak Plein Air Painters (PPPAP) group by inviting like-minded artists to join them in painting outdoors in the Pikes Peak Region. Artists that joined Shanika and Gault in this created endeavor were: Chuck Mardosz, CJ Chadwell, Dan Schultz, David Mayer, George Hart, Harold Deist, Kazuko Stern, Ken Valestro, Lee Cable & Nancy Moageline. The Pikes Peak Plein Air Painters are partnering with the Woodland Park organization, Destination Art Pikes Peak to bring fine art and cultural events to the Pikes Peak Area. Now, they’re set to host the PPPAP 2025 Exhibition at Reserve Our Gallery in Woodland Park, Colorado, through March 25.
