James Sampsel, an artist and a whitewater rafting guide, has arranged a rafting trip that takes plein air painters to otherwise inaccessible areas to paint.
Sampsel works for ROW Adventures, and his idea of a combination of whitewater rafting and painting expedition appealed to the owner of the company. So from August 31 through September 4, Sampsel will guide artists down the Rogue River for five days and four nights. ROW Adventures’ Oregon launch point is located in Merlin.
