Artists interested in painting in Southwestern Vermont may want to mark their calendars for Plein Air Vermont, which will be held in Bennington, Vermont, September 3 through September 8.

All artists juried into the competition must present at least two and up to four framed paintings executed en plein air during the event. A quick draw competition will be open to all ages in the general public. More than $7,000 worth of prizes will be awarded during the event.
The juror of selection is Boston artist Dianne Panarelli Miller. The juror of awards is noted watercolorist Charles Reid. Rockport, Massachusetts, legend Stapleton Kearns will serve as juror of awards for the quick draw. For more information, visit the competition’s website.
