Judge of Awards Jill Carver picked the winners recently in the Santa Fe Plein Air Festival. Who won? 
 
Carver awarded Damien Gonzales Best of Show for his oil painting “Isla Sandia.” Mary Ann Warner won Second Place with “Remnants of Hurricane Blanca,” and Mike Mahon took Third for “High Desert Sculpture.” Bill Gallen served as selection judge for the competition, which was held at InArt gallery.

The Award of Excellence in Oil or Acrylic was won by Richard Prather for “Around the Bend,” while Kathy Howard took the Award of Excellence in Works on Paper for her pastel “Senora de la Luz.” The festival awarded a Best Sunset award to Tom Blazier for “Santa Fe Sunset.”

Tom Blazier, Ray Hassard, and Dick Wimberly won Honorable Mention awards.

Lee McVey served as the selection juror and Peggy Immel was the judge of awards for the Quick Draw and Best Sunset contests. First Place in the Quick Draw went to Susan McCullough for “An Invitation.” Second Place was won by Holly Grimm for “Santa Fe River Walk,” and Third Place went to Michelle Chrisman for “Still Life With Lemons.”
