The 18th Annual Paint Historic Waxahachie Plein Air Art Show recently brought 38 artists to Waxahachie, Texas, where they captured the charm of the city’s heritage through paintings of historic buildings, parks, walking trails, and the preserved downtown area. Over six days, these painters produced more than 150 works of art.
From these entries, judge Patrick Saunders awarded:
- Best in Show to Carolyn Lindsey for “Sunrise”
- First Place to Qiang Huang for “Afternoon Sunshine”
- Second Place to Olivette Hubler for “Oh Say Can You See”
- Third Place to David Ledet for “Waxahachie Junk in The Trunk”
