The homepage of The Complete Artist

The Complete Artist is a diverse website that offers online workshops, informative blog posts, and a forum for artists. The blog is interesting because it features a number of authors.

Richard Robinson seems to be the main force behind the free blog, but Richard Rogers, Jim Haycock, Debbie Piro, Stuart J. Gourlay, and others show up as well. I have to confess that there has never been a step-by-step demonstration that I didn’t find interesting in some way, and thus Robinson’s numerous demos make the site sticky for me. Discussions about materials and conceptual approaches to art-making dot the blog posts as well.

The workshop area costs $20 per month to view. Paintings made in Robinson’s master class are posted in the forum, allowing the curious to see what kind of progress can be made under his tutelage.
