A respected center for the celebration and display of representational fine arts, the Lyme Art Association opens 2014 with two exciting exhibitions.

The Lyme Art Association (LAA) in Old Lyme, Connecticut, is currently hosting two handsome paintings exhibitions.

The 22nd Annual Associate Artist Exhibition, featuring LAA Associate Artists exclusively, offers a look at new works by some of the most accomplished artists within this prestigious organization.

Del-Bourree Bach, “Winter Dusk,” oil, 6 x 8 in.

Running concurrently with the Associate Artist Exhibition, “Wonders of Winter” is an all-member show that includes artists from every LAA membership level. Organized around wintery themes, this exhibition is well timed to correspond with the frigid weather that has gripped the East Coast in recent weeks.

The Lyme Art Association is dedicated to advancing the cause of representational fine arts through art exhibitions, educational programs, and artist workshops. Opened in 1921 as an exhibition space for Lyme Art Colony artists, the Lyme Art Association Gallery has offered the public outstanding painting exhibitions every year since. The gallery displays major exhibitions highlighting the work of its more than 1,000 member artists, from established professionals to emerging talent.

Both the 22nd Annual Associate Artist Exhibition and “Wonders of Winter” will remain on view through February 22. To learn more, visit lymeartassociation.org.
